2 Corinthians 4:3-4
"If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious Light of the Good News. They don’t understand this Message about the Glory of Christ, Who is the exact likeness of God."

Have you ever wondered why some people just won't accept Christ and are content to live and operate in sin? Well, don't raise your blood pressure continuing to wonder why. In 2 Corinthians 4, the Apostle Paul sheds some light on it. Paul continues to not only qualify himself as an Apostle and follower of Christ, but expresses his honor to be able to share the Good News of the Gospel. In doing so, he highlights two groups that the hearers of the Gospel of Jesus will fall into: Those who are enlightened by God and those who will remain in darkness.
The latter will remain in darkness for several reasons, the principal of which is the Devil, i.e. the god of this world. As we've already determined, Satan is actively kicking against the Salvation offered by Christ and will use every tool in his arsenal to thwart the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He did it then and because he has no new tricks, he is still doing it now. He would rather the fragile clay jars that are our human bodies be full of his evil influence and not be full of and house the Holy Spirit. So when the Truth is veiled from these individuals by Satan, what do we know? We know; They are perishing, they don't believe [including those who claim to believe but whose fruit says they don't.], they are unable to see and they simply don't understand.
But alas, because a loving and perfect God made us to freely choose Him we can conclude; these individuals are exercising their free will in enmity against God, they don't rightly fear God, they are oppressed, repressed or if unsaved, possibly possessed. The hope for those that are veiled in darkness is that Jesus' sacrifice not only ripped the veil separating us From God in two, but removed it for all eternity to make Salvation available to all that call upon Him and accept Him as Lord and Savior. As followers of Jesus we can be doers of the Word by spreading seed with the sharing of the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world at large and especially with those that are perishing. These seeds will be watered and the Holy Spirit will produce a harvest [that is His job not ours]. It is not God's Will that any should perish or walk in darkness, but come to know the saving Grace of Christ. So masterpiece, testify to multiply and watch the Kingdom grow.
Takeaways for you to remember:
1. Don't let Satan veil the Truth from you.
2. Jesus permanently removed the veil when He died and rose again.
3. The veil that was torn asunder and removed cannot be erected again.
Yours in Christ!
