"I Love You More!"

Jeremiah 31:3

"Long ago the Lord said to Israel: 'I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to Myself.'" [emphasis mine]

Did you know that God's love is perfect? Why? Because He is perfect. And a perfect God cannot deliver or offer an imperfect love. In fact, God loves you so perfectly and infinitely that it is quite unfathomable and unimaginable to the natural mind. I chuckle when I recall the cute and sweet routines my momma and I shared with constant texts of prayers, devotions, music and even giggles being exchanged throughout the day or visit. Whenever ending a conversation or our time together, we would try to outdo the other in expressing our love. "I love you, Doc", she would say. "I love you more, momma", I would say. And on and on it would go until she would drop the mic with an "I love you more infinity times infinity". And I knew this to be true. But you know what else I have come know to be true? Not even my beautiful momma's love could equal or compare to that which Father God, who created time and exists outside of it, can provide. His is a perfect and unending love that can't be matched and is truly infinity times infinity. How do I know?

As I write this it has been mere months since my mother, my friend, my model, my champion, my introducer to Jesus and my true sister in Christ was called home to be with the Lord. And God has wrapped me in such peace and love that there can be no other explanation as to why I am still standing, existing and clothed and in my right mind after what has felt like a 2026 first quarter of complete trash. Caring for and saying farewell to a parent is a pain so deep that one feels like they may not recover. That's real factual talk my friends, but not the Truth. The Truth Father God told me and He's telling you today and everyday through His Word, His Will, His Promises and His character is that nothing can separate us from His perfect love, not even ourselves, pain, fear or death.

We can't outdo "I love You's" to the Lord. But the best thing is that the Lord never tires of our I love You's. I believe it tickles Him, just as I know it tickled my momma. Tickles equates to brings Him joy when He sees His children worshipping, praising, obeying and loving on Him when He knows we do it of our own free will, not out of robotic obligation. Here's the thing, my momma knew I loved her to life and that warms my heart and my Father God knows I love Him to life and that warms my spirit. How could I not when I've been given not only my very life and breath via a human birth but every good and perfect gift via a supernatural rebirth? My loss is sharply fresh and heartbreaking but the only saving grace is I am assured my sweet, sweet momma is eternally with Jesus right now. And He is looking at her face to face and saying, "I AM that I AM and I love you more, infinity times infinity everlasting". Will you accept and bask in His love today? Will you confess and believe in the physical expression of His love fully encapsulated in His Son Jesus and then carry the gift of His love through His indwelling Holy Spirit?
